Editor Assessments with Editor Crystal Corocher
Today’s guest started as a journalist but followed her heart into children’s literature both writing and editing. She was recently shortlisted as an Australian Book Industry Awards Rising Star in publishing.
As well as her work at Larrikin House Publishing, she’s been busy running Editor Assessments at Kidlit Vic, and will be running some more at the CYA conference in July. And, she’s popped in for a taco and to tell us all about her amazing journey, the type of advice she’ll be offering up at conferences, tips on getting published, and what her role as an editor entails. Everyone, please give it up for Crystal Corocher.
HAYLEY IN THE LIBRARY
It’s time to welcome back a friend of the show. A favourite teacher librarian to let us know what’s happening in the school library.
This week, Hayley shares how she plans to incorporate the Mini Taco podcast into her library lessons.
How she’ll use the Teacher Notes, tips, and book reviews to engage her class in all the bookish fun.
Mini Taco Podcast –
for kids who love books
Each episode aims to inspire little people to use their big imaginations to read, write, draw and create!
After putting up over 100 episodes of Taco podcasts for authors, it’s great to do something for the kids. We’re very excited about this as it’s so much fun. Tailored to primary schools, it’s ideal for educators, teacher/librarians, kids who want more from books, and all who love children’s literature.
