Established in 1963 as the peak national association for Australian authors, our purpose is to support writers and illustrators to pursue sustainable creative careers through advocacy, support and advice.

Children’s Book Council of Australia

The Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) is a not for profit, volunteer run organisation which aims to engage the community with literature for young Australians. The CBCA presents annual awards to books of literary merit, for outstanding contribution to Australian children’s literature.

The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, is the only professional organization specifically for individuals who write, illustrate, and translate for children and young adults. Our mission is to support the creation and availability of quality children’s books in every region of the world.

YABBA – Young Australian Best Book Awards

Yabba is a not-for-profit volunteer run incorporated organisation working to bring Australian books alive for children. Our ultimate goal is to have children recommend, read, rate and reward their favourite Australian books.
