Books In Lockdown
Home by Karen Hendriks and Alisa Knatko
Karen joins us today to discuss her latest book (born in lockdown), Home. It’s a beautiful book inspired by Karen’s family history. I hope you enjoy listening to Karen’s story as much as I have.
Karen has been a teacher for over twenty years and has always used children’s picture books in her literacy teaching. Karen had a long held goal to write picture books which she has achieved so wonderfully. Her latest picture book is Home. This, and two other of Karen’s books were born in lockdown, which is such a shame, because this beautiful book deserves a home on your shelves.
