Z is for Moose - Review

Wait! Stop! Moose is on the wrong page.

Zebra is in charge of this alphabet book and has everyone lined up in order of their first letter. But Moose is too excited to wait. He wants to get in this book straight away. He gets in on the letter D, and E, H, I, J, K and L … Poor Zebra has to get Moose off the pages.

M is for Mouse

Unfortunately, when it does come up to the letter M, Moose gets overlooked for a mouse. This makes Moose furious. He throws quite a tantrum. He stomps through the pages of N, O, P and Q before Zebra gets everything back on track.

Bad Moose!

This could be a good talking point with kids because Moose doesn’t behave well. Funny, yes, but tantrums are never good. And, poor Zebra is left to pick up the pieces and find a way to finish the book.

F is for Funny

This is an alphabet book with a difference. It tells a story, rather than just going through the letters. And, not just any story. A hilarious story from author Kelly Bingham.

Caldecott medallist, Paul O. Zelinsky works his magic with the characters in this book. His illustrations are essential to the telling of the story, but also to adding great humour throughout the book.
