Tacos Review: Stuck

Have you ever got something stuck up in a tree?

Floyd’s kite is stuck. But don’t worry. He has a plan to get it down.

I can’t have a world’s funniest book review list without Stuck. What I love the most about this book is its message. If you have a problem, throw something at it. If that doesn’t work throw something else at it. Then something bigger and funnier until the problem is solved.

This is just silly, over the top fun – reading purely for the pleasure of a funny story.

Floyd gets his kite stuck in the tree and what does he do? He throws his shoe at it. Naturally. And, when that shoe gets stuck, he throws his other shoe at it. Of course. When his other shoe gets stuck, he throws the cat, the duck, the kitchen sink and anything else he can get his hands on, including the postman, who surely had some place better to be, but that’s how it goes sometimes.

The silliness doesn’t stop there though. Floyd picks up everything from a house to a whale and tosses it into that tree. What a plan. Go Floyd. Does his plan work?

You’ll have to read it and see. But, I can tell you that at one point, he does go and get a ladder.
