Warning, this Tacos book review contains flannelette shirts, air guitar and … mullets!

Have you ever lived next door to yobbos? Well, read this book and you’ll want to, and you’ll want to sing the yobbo song!

When the neighbours move out and take their yowling cat with them, a young girl is happy because her New-Age Dad can do his yoga in peace, however, peace doesn’t last long. The new neighbours have mullets, wear flannelette shirts, park their cars on the front lawn and have their friends over for parties. Dad says they’re yobbos. Yobbos! Yobbos! Yobbos! And he can’t do his salute to the sun.

Yobbos do yoga- Tacos book review

Meet Tubby, Ferret and King Wally Kahuna

When the young girl’s ball goes over the fence, she meets Ferret, Tubby and King Wally Kahuna, who turn out to be really nice people. But dad is convinced that yobbos and yoga don’t mix and he doesn’t like his new neighbours. Until, dad has some trouble starting his car and the yobbos offer to help.

This book goes to show that you can’t judge a book by its cover. Actually you can, because this book looks hilarious and it is. Perfect for ages 4 and up.

Now … Let’s do the yobbo dance!
