Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall with his friends discussing all the things they want to do when they grow up. Humpty’s friends all think big. They have big plans for the future.
If you loved nursery rhymes growing up, you’ll know all Humpty’s friends. There’s little Jack Horner who sat in the corner and Little Bo Peep, the Giant, the 3 blind mice, the Dish who ran away with the Spoon and many more. They’re all there and they’re hilarious. From the first line to the last hilarious line, they’ll have you giggling, chuckling and then laughing out loud.
From the creator of the Oi Frog series, and if you haven’t read them you’re missing out on a few laughs, is this 2019 very funny take on one of our favourite nursery rhymes.
Humpty is thinking too small
When Humpty grows up he wants to be a boiled egg. Humpty’s friends don’t like this idea at all. You need to think big, they say, and they each give Humpty something wonderful to strive for in life.
What are friends for?
All of Humpty’s friends are full of great ideas and so enthusiastic. So much so, that Humpty has decided he’s not going to be a boiled egg. He’s now going to raise his expectations on life and reach for the stars. This delights his friends, especially Jack Horner who is just so encouraging, right to the very end.
This is typical Kes Gray humour that will have kids of all ages laughing. The illustrations by Nathan Reed are very lively and colourful and really capture the humour all the way through to the last page, which is a real crack-up.
